This week in Meet the Masters, we interview Andrea Luca Pinciroli from our Italian dealer: AgriTec Srl. AgriTec started their collaboration with Veenhuis products in 2015 when they met Walter Veenhuis at Agritechnica. “In the past we were using the tanks ourselves as we used to be farmers and contractors. We were looking for the best tanker and we obviously reached the best… the Veenhuis product. Thanks to the fact that we are convinced about the Veenhuis technology, we decided to open the Italian market to Veenhuis products. So here we are!”
Developing the Italian market
AgriTec is an Italian dealer for the Veenhuis manure technology and, since the merger of Veenhuis with Schuitemaker, for the Schuitemaker foraging solutions as well. “We are very proud to be ‘Veenhuis in Italy’. We work around the clock to develop the market, do demos and show the great machines in real life. It’s important because most Italian farmers and contractors only have seen them on the internet.”
In order to explain their potential customers why Veenhuis is a premium product, AgriTec started to study all the available features. The number of sales indicate a great start for Veenhuis in the Italian market. “In fewer words: Veenhuis is a premium brand and we are building that image in Italy as well.”
The value of organic fertilizers
Why do Italian farmers and contractors decide to buy a Veenhuis machine? “Well, our customers choose Veenhuis machines as Veenhuis has the best understanding of the value of organic fertilizers in comparison to chemical fertilizers. As our customers are well educated on this topic, they notice how injection saves money and the planet, as it minimizes the evaporation of harmful ammonia.” On top of that, the Italian market profits from local and European subsidies that support people to buy high quality tankers. “Italian customers are proud to own the Veenhuis product. For us, their happiness is the best advertisement.”
Communication is key
In developing the Italian market, communication is the key to success. Veenhuis’ and AgriTec’s staff communicate almost on a daily basis, in order to discuss all enquiries and to support each other if needed. “We always receive fast and clear answers from the headquarters in the Netherlands. Therefore, we are really happy with the cooperation we have with Veenhuis. Some days are intensive, but working together means being stronger together.”
According to Andrea, the future is bright. “We’ll have a lot of work to do in the near future because professional Italian farmers and contractors seek high quality and environmentally friendly equipment to help them to save money on chemical fertilizers. Therefore, Veenhuis is the best choice .”
